Hello, Robloxians. Today, I'm going to write about Fissy Games' newest game, "TreeLands", which just made an exciting step closer to release! Recently, TreeLands had received a special update for the holiday spirit; everyone's been excited! It all started with a little "party" at their vehicle showcase, where tons of developers, including Fissy himself, were chatting with fans and each other. People were testing out vehicles, flying with Alpha Balloons and chasing Fissy to the end of the baseplate. Fissy then proceeded to leap into a truck and run (or drive) away. Unfortunately for Fissy, some random guy decided to take a seat in his truck as I chased them down, holding a loud, crackling torch.
I figured it would be a good idea to ask TheNewFissy and co-creator SuhAviator, or DankSuhreen, some questions about TreeLands and their developing. While everyone had a chat with Fissy with their live voices (a little boy was rapidly asking questions and making silly requests, maybe even annoying some people a little but nethertheless was quite funny). So: The moment you've all been waiting for—ere are your questions and answers:
Q: Do you feel connected to your fellow developers? A: (TheNewFissy) "[...] yes, I feel very connected with my fellow developers!"
Q: Did you ever think you would become so popular? A: (TheNewFissy) "Definitely not. We've been really blessed with all the support from our community."
Q: Are you proud about your guys' progress? A: (TheNewFissy) "Definitely! We went from nothing to so much in 6 months, and it's been an incredible ride. We've pushed the limits of the tycoon genre. And made roblox a more fun place!"
Q: What's your favourite part about making TreeLands? A: (TheNewFissy) "It's definitely the fans. There are so many incredible, outstanding members of our community. Chatting with them is so much fun."
Q: What gave you the idea of creating TreeLands? Did anyone help you? A: (Suhreen) "I [came up with the idea]. Me and Fissy were in a call and wanted to make a game." (Joe Though, Fissy Games Representitive) "Suhreen saw [an] awful clickbait tycoon on the games page."
(Heh.)
Q: Can developing be frustrating for you? A: (DankSuhreen) "Yes. Hell yeah. Thanks to Fissy." (TheNewFissy) "Thanks to Suhreen!"
Q: A little bit off topic, how did you start developing? A: (TheNewFissy) "I simply read guides online and followed them; I started Roblox development in 2010. The Roblox wiki is definitely a great help. And the rest is just curious experimentation."
Q: If there was one thing you could improve on, what would it be (I can't think of anything!)? A: (TheNewFissy) "I wish I had optimized treehouse loading better, since it's really laggy for some people."
(I then mentioned that no matter how good the system is, it's always going to lag for someone out there. No need to worry.)
Q: How long has TreeLands been in development? A: (TheNewFissy) "It's been in development for around eight months."
Q: Any advice for aspiring developers? A: (TheNewFissy) "Keep working and never give up. Development is an endurance game."
Q: Is there any particular person who inspired you to develop? A: (TheNewFissy) "Hmmm... I really enjoyed Lando's "A Pirate Life" as a kid. Ananimus' scripts have always inspired me as well. I think that emphasizes more than anything that I'm just a regular person who loves games like everyone else."
I think we can all agree TheNewFissy's not a regular person—he's a very gifted one.
Before the end of the celebration, Fissy took a group photo and posted it on his Twitter account. He then upgraded TreeLands [Beta] to have a Christmas theme, and also added many new features, such as bungee jumping and numerous new buildings/rooms. The center of the place (where the shop is) has been beautifully decorated with houses, likely by well-known and particularly skilled builder SuhAviator. Everyone loved the new update, and I can't say I'm surprised!
One of the most impressive new features of the game is that you can now decorate and upgrade your vehicle! You can paint different parts of
your trucks and cars now to show your taste and your artistic creativity! As for actual upgrades? You can now improve your vehicle's speed, acceleration, tire traction, and maximum cargo weight! Who wouldn't ask for this? Let's all thank Fissy's team, and, of course, Fissy himself, for creating such an amazing an immersive (that's how good it is) gaming experience! Thanks Fissy!
There are even more fruits now! Lemons and plums and green apples and papayas and orange crystals (not a fruit but whatever) and pears...what could go wrong? Also, now you can go to the basement of the shop, where co-creator and main builder Suhreen lurks, giving you quests in exchange for very special prizes. Dump those large bananas on Suhreen now! (His head is out of place, by the way, so he's nearly headless. I wonder if he'll die and become a ghost? You don't get the reference, do you?)
If you look at the side of the screen (left), you can also see there are now Twitter codes available at @newfissy
Additionally, if you play now, you'll get a special Christmas gift—a very nice Christmas tree to put in your treehouse to celebrate the holidays. Isn't that great? It's a refreshing green with neon material lights wrapped around its leaves. Even better, there's a nice, golden, shiny, bright star mounted on the very top of the tree. And WoodReviewer can't complain about its trunk*. Yup, he can't. You heard me right. This shows the developers really care about their players.
*He still can if he wants to, and he is not an evil person—he often exaggerates his reactions.
Overall, TreeLands is exceptionally great! It definitely exceeds all my expectations for a game and has a nice, happy feel to it. Upgrade your vehicle, colour it, and add more stuff to your treehouse already! If you're looking for a non-clichè tycoon, then you're looking for TreeLands. So what are you waiting for? Play now! Did I mention one Durian is worth one hundred silver now?
Happy holidays!
