Roblox released an official blog post stating that they would be accepting games from everyday developers to your favourite celebrities for a pretty famous event: Roblox Tournaments! The Roblox Tournaments take place in staff-picked games submitted by developers around the globe; it's always a competitive game with staff members gaming away and having fun. Players can also join in with the staff members. Short bursts of play in a bunch of games and prizes to be won, there have ought to be some excited people out there.
So what exactly were the requirements to have your game accepted and played during the epic clash between Robloxians of all ranks and classes? First off—as to prevent exploitation of games—the game must have, in the Workspace, FilteringEnabled set to true. Secondly, the game must be, as you may have guessed already, competitive. I mean, it's a tournament, right? Next up is that the game must have a clear factor of who's who and who's on what team (if there are even any teams to begin with). Additionally, the game length has to be relatively short—the blog says that the'll be playing for quite a crunched amount of time. And finally, the game must have a spectate mode to watch the action, should the streamer be taken down or somehow off the field of play; there must at least be a third-person option. There are some small details, and this is just scraping the surface. You can see the blog post here.
So far, no games have been publicly confirmed to be in the tournaments. I am eagerly watching the forums, blogs, and community for more information on this topic; if you know more, feel free to contact me via private messages in Roblox, or maybe Discord (I am @DerpyMcDerpell#7788). Again, you can see Roblox's blog post here.
