Mass-Reporting Gets Several Famous Twitter Accounts Suspended [RESOLVED]

The news hit the Roblox community yesterday—famous Robloxians and retaliation-showing users were being attacked with reports presumably made by an attacker, multiple attackers, or an attacker's/attackers' bots. There is one main suspect at the moment who is sending confusing messages; his intentions are unknown except that he may be looking to defame or troll famous and rebelling Robloxians. He also constantly insults Robloxians as a whole and occasionally personally with insults. Additionally, he is very aggressive and sends threats to people publicly.

The user is going by the name "ThreatSlayerRBLX" and is actively posting Tweets telling this was satire, blaming other users and directing suspicion away from him/herself, spontaneous off-topic posts, telling people to follow people (especially @tbooyyy )and insulting. He also Retweeted a message stating "ThreatSlayer" is to blame and to report him to stop the mass reports; this is causing much confusion. Some speculate he is mocking the opposing community—many believe he is a common Internet troll who is seeking attention. Others believe he has a personal relationship with a developer who wants to be above others, but this is unlikely. Some think he has a mental disorder which causes him to have a type of hatred for certain people, especially those of higher status (whom he seems to despise most are famous members of the Roblox community as observed). If he is a common Internet troll, he has succeeded. Below are some significant Tweets from him/her:

Robloxians with relatively large amounts of followers are making their accounts private, for it seems the attacker(s) did not prepare by following popular community members beforehand. At the moment, sources believe only Roblox developers are being targeted by such bots; there have been no trustworthy reports of non-Roblox affiliated accounts being mass-reported.

Already suspended account owners are actively warning the community of these account(s). Members who have been suspended from mass reports include Younite, Voidtexx, Lilly_S, and CloneTrooper1019. It should be noted these users have an impressive amount of fans and are very well known amongst the Roblox community. They are aware of their unfair punishment and are currently looking for ways to resolve the issue and have the culprit punished.

"This is stupid," comments Lilly_S, famous developer and member of Developer Relations Team. "I can’t believe you can get locked out of your account for several days because somebody ran a bot reporting your account."

"Whoever this is needs to knock it off and get a hobby. Of course, it’s not like Twitter’s helping much," complains ChipioIndustries, a Roblox developer.

"We’re living in scary times right now," warns CloneTrooper, another famous developer effected by the attack. "The worst part is that this scumbag will probably get away with it...unless we make a big fit about it. We need to spread the word to all corners of Twitter. Everyone is at risk; everyone can be affected by this."

"I’m literally going to contact twitter about this. The fact that they can be botted like this is—to be unprofessionally blunt.... These attacks against the developer community are seriously becoming an annoyance," announces Reshiram110, another developer.

"Watch them suspend you next. They will take something you said out of context, mass flag it, and—boom—your account will no longer exist. No matter how old the tweet is, and no matter the context of what was said, Twitter won’t ask questions," CloneTrooper1019 tells Polyhex. "This is not a debate. This is a genuine problem with Twitter’s flagging system that needs to be addressed. No one is safe."

Be aware of who sees your account on Twitter, especially for those who have a large fan count. To avoid being suspended if you are a developer, lock your account: Make it private before it's too late. Avoid anyone going by the name "ThreatSlayer" and watch for who may be a bot—and block them. Anyone, as CloneTrooper1019 stated, is at risk of being attacked. Prevent if you can. Twitter may not let you justify your Tweets; the large amount of reports will be more justified. I speculate reports are anonymous. "ThreatSlayer" has not yet received punishment but has not been seen for eight hours. If more happens regarding "ThreatSlayer" or the attacks, I'll be right here to report.
